Banning Of The Bible – History & Coming Soon To Every Country

by | Dec 1, 2024

“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Tsiyon! Shout, O daughter of Yerushalayim! See, your Sovereign is coming to you, He is righteous and endowed with deliverance, humble and riding on a donkey, a colt, the foal of a donkey.” -Zekaryah/ Zechariah 9:9. Praise YHWH Let us unite in one voice and spirit to declare the exclamation of joy: HalleluYah! This cry of praise resonates with believers across the world, signifying the greatness and majesty of our Father in the Shamayim. To Him alone belongs all praise, esteem, and honor, for He continues to accomplish miraculous works through His Word the HalleluYah Scriptures.

It is both humbling and inspiring to witness His Word reaching His people in every corner of the world.

As His children, we are privileged to serve in this profound mission, dedicating our lives to ensuring that His Word is preserved, shared, and cherished. This sacred work is carried out with hearts full of gratitude, knowing that it is not for personal gain but for the honour of serving the Father and His people. Let us explore the profound joy, challenges, and fulfilment that come with this calling, as well as the importance of uniting as one in this amazing mission.

Throughout human history, the Bible has stood as one of the most influential texts ever written, shaping cultures, societies, and the lives of billions across the world. Revered by countless believers as the marvellous Word of our Elohim, it has provided spiritual guidance, inspired transformative societal changes, and served as a cornerstone of trust and morality. Yet, paradoxically, this sacred text has also faced intense opposition for hundreds of years and even today. Across centuries and continents, the Bible has been banned, burned, censored, and suppressed by authorities who feared its power and influence.

The remarkable dual legacy of the Bible: as a source of trust and transformation for its followers, and as a target of suppression by those who sought to silence its message. Moreover, it reflects on the resilience of those who have fought to preserve and share this sacred text, and the pressing call to safeguard it in light of what many interpret as an impending spiritual “famine” foretold in Scripture.

“So then belief comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of YHWH.” -Romiyim/Romans 10:17

For believers, the Bible is not merely a book but a hearty revelation, a source of wisdom and instruction, and a guiding light through the complexities of life. Its teachings on love, justice, unity, and forgiveness have inspired countless acts of kindness and societal reforms, from the abolition of slavery to the establishment of universal education and human rights. It is the Father’s Love Letter to His people all over the world.

However, the Bible’s influence extends beyond the realm of trust. Its stories, metaphors, and moral principles have permeated secular culture, shaping the moral and ethical frameworks of societies around the world. Phrases like “the writing on the wall” or “turn the other cheek” have become part of everyday language, reflecting the Bible’s pervasive impact.

Its message of longing and redemption has offered unity to those in despair and courage to those facing oppression. Yet, it is precisely this transformative power that has made the Bible a target for suppression.
From the Roman Empire to modern authoritarian regimes, attempts to suppress the Bible have been a recurring theme in history. In the early days of Christianity, Roman authorities sought to eradicate the fledgling trust by destroying its sacred texts and persecuting its followers.

The infamous Diocletian Edict of 303 AD ordered the burning of believer’s scriptures and the imprisonment of those who possessed them. Yet, instead of extinguishing the trust, these efforts only strengthened the resolve of believers and solidified the Bible’s role as a symbol of resistance and longing.

Sadly, today it is no different, the HalleluYah Scriptures is being attacked like never before by those who call themselves believers. They think they are doing the Father a favor yet they are putting their hands to wickedness with the world leaders and systems racing faster towards the banning of the Bible. Those in times gone by thought the same way but as we know they were filled with wickedness.

The Middle Ages saw new forms of suppression, as ecclesiastical authorities sought to control access to the Bible by restricting translations into vernacular languages. The Latin Vulgate, authorized by the Church, was the only version deemed acceptable, effectively barring ordinary people from reading the Word of Elohim. Figures like John Wycliffe and William Tyndale defied these restrictions, translating the Bible into English and risking their lives to make it accessible to the masses. Their efforts often met with severe consequences, including exile, execution, and the burning of their translations. So much hate has come against His Word, but the Father has always had His people in place through time to preserve it and guard it.

“For the Word of YHWH is living, and working, and sharper than any two- edged sword, cutting through even to the dividing of being and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”- Ibrim/Hebrews 4:12.

In more recent times, the Bible has faced challenges in ideologically driven regimes that view its teachings as a threat to their authority. In communist states like the Soviet Union and China, possession of the Bible has been criminalized, with underground networks emerging to smuggle and distribute copies. Even today, in certain parts of the world, owning or sharing the Bible can result in imprisonment or death. These ongoing efforts to suppress the Bible underscore its perceived power and influence, even in the face of opposition. If you see anyone coming up against the Father’s Word, then you know who the real enemy is.

Despite centuries of persecution and censorship, the Bible has endured. Its survival is a covenant to the resilience and determination of its followers, who have risked everything to preserve and share its message. The invention of the printing press in the 15th century revolutionized the dissemination of the Bible, enabling it to reach millions and breaking the monopoly of ecclesiastical authorities.

In the modern era, digital technology has further amplified its accessibility, allowing people around the world to read and share the Bible through websites, and social media.

Yet, as the Bible continues to spread, a new challenge looms on the horizon. Many believers point to the prophecy in Amos 8:11, which warns of a “famine of the Word of Elohim.” This is interpreted by some as a period when access to Scripture will be restricted or its teachings will be distorted and marginalized. In an era marked by growing secularism, censorship, and misinformation, the urgency to preserve and disseminate the Bible has never been greater.

In a world increasingly divided and searching for meaning, the Bible’s timeless message of love, redemption, and justice remains as relevant as ever. Preserving it is not just an act of trust but a commitment to ensuring that future generations can access the wisdom and inspiration that has shaped humanity for millennia.

“Give thanks to YHWH! For goodness, For His kindness is everlasting.” -Tehillim/Psalms 107:1

The Bible, cherished by some and contested by others, is more than a book; it is a covenant to the power of the written word to transform lives and societies. As the challenges to its existence and relevance persist, so too must our efforts to honor, preserve, and share this sacred text with the world. For in its pages lies the promise of trust, a promise that must never be silenced.

Since its compilation, the Bible has been a target of suppression by governments, religious authorities, and regimes seeking to control spiritual narratives or eliminate dissenting beliefs and believers being used to destroy it.
During the early centuries of Christianity, Roman authorities outlawed Messianic texts, including the Bible. Believers were hunted, and scriptures were confiscated and burned. Despite the persecution, underground networks preserved the Word, often at great personal risk.

In the 14th century, John Wycliffe translated the Bible into English, challenging the Catholic Church’s monopoly on scripture. His followers, the Lollards, faced severe persecution, with many executed for owning or distributing Wycliffe’s translation.

Then, William Tyndale’s translation of the Bible into English in the 16th century made scripture accessible to the common person. This act was considered heretical, and Tyndale was ultimately executed by strangulation and his body burned. His work, however, became foundational for later English translations.

“The Torah of YHWH is perfect, bringing back the being; The Witness of YHWH is trustworthy, making wise the simple; The Orders of YHWH are straight, rejoicing the heart; The Command of YHWH is clear, enlightening the eyes;” – Tehillim/Psalms 19:7-8

In the 20th century, Communist regimes such as the Soviet Union, North Korea, and China actively banned or restricted the Bible, viewing it as a threat to state control. Secret smuggling operations and underground churches flourished as believers risked imprisonment, torture, and death to keep the Bible alive.

Despite the widespread recognition of religious freedom, the Bible remains banned or heavily restricted in several countries. Some of these include:

North Korea
Owning a Bible in North Korea is considered an act of treason against the regime. Believers face imprisonment in labor camps, and many have been executed for their belief.
Saudi Arabia and Other Islamic Nations
In countries governed by strict interpretations of Islamic law, importing or distributing Bibles is often illegal. Punishments range from deportation for foreigners to severe penalties for locals.

China
While some versions of the Bible are allowed under state-controlled churches, independent translations and unsanctioned religious materials are prohibited. Digital Bibles and online scriptures are also censored.
School Bans in Western Nations

In the United States and other Western countries, the Bible has faced challenges in public schools due to the separation of church and state. While the Bible itself is not outright banned, its use for religious instruction has been significantly curtailed, leading some to argue that this represents a soft form of suppression.

In Amos 8:11, the prophet declares, “See days are coming,” declares the Adon YHWH, “that I shall send a hunger in the land, not a hunger for bread, nor a thirst for water, but for hearing the Words of YHWH.” This ominous prophecy foretells a future in which the truths of Scripture will be obscured or withheld, leaving humanity to navigate a spiritual drought.

It is a chilling reminder of the fragility of access to Elohim’s Word. While physical Bibles remain abundant in many parts of the world, the spiritual and cultural forces seeking to suppress or distort Scripture are gaining strength. The “famine” described by Amos is not only a lack of printed copies, these will be rare in the very near future, but a deeper, more insidious phenomenon: a world where the truth of Elohim’s Word is drowned out by noise, misrepresentation, or apathy.

Today, we see the seeds of this famine taking root. In some countries, possessing a Bible is a criminal act, punishable by imprisonment or even death. In others, public expressions of trust in Elohim are increasingly restricted, and scriptural teachings are labelled as outdated or offensive. Even within historically societies, the Bible faces reinterpretation and dilution, as cultural pressures push for revisions that align with secular values rather than Elohim’s truth.

As we draw closer to this prophesied time, the growing censorship and hostility directed at the Bible underscore the urgency of preserving and sharing Elohim’s Word. In this age of increasing secularism and ideological conflict, the Bible faces challenges that are both old and new: outright bans in some regions, distorted reinterpretations, and subtle but pervasive efforts to marginalize its teachings. Against this backdrop, the HalleluYah Scriptures, a literal and pure translation of the Bible, has emerged as a beacon of truth and light for believers worldwide.

Yet, even this sacred work has not escaped the attacks and opposition that often accompany efforts to uphold and disseminate Elohim’s Word. We will never stop getting His Word out until our last breath even under the attacks that the enemy brings, we know we serve a Father that loves us and protects us and guides us in all decisions for this is His Word, owned by Him.

The HalleluYah Scriptures represent a unique and vital contribution to the preservation of Elohim’s Word. This translation seeks to restore the purity and literal accuracy of the original texts, reflecting the sacred names of the Creator and Messiah and striving to eliminate the cultural and doctrinal influences that have crept into many modern translations. For believers who hunger for a closer connection to the original intent of Scripture, the HalleluYah Scriptures serve as a guiding light.

The importance of such a translation cannot be overstated. In a world where interpretations of the Bible are increasingly tailored to fit shifting societal norms, the HalleluYah Scriptures offer an unyielding commitment to the original Hebrew and Greek texts. This purity resonates deeply with those who seek a true and undistorted understanding of YHWH’s Word.

However, this commitment to truth has not gone unnoticed by those who oppose the Bible’s influence. The HalleluYah Scriptures have faced numerous attacks, ranging from public criticism to outright suppression in some circles. These efforts to undermine or discredit the translation are a testimony to its power and importance.

Just as earlier translators like Wycliffe and Tyndale faced persecution for making Scripture accessible to the masses, so too does this modern work encounter resistance as it strives to illuminate Elohim’s Word for a new generation.

Believers In Korea Above

The challenges faced by the HalleluYah Scriptures are emblematic of a broader struggle to preserve and disseminate the Bible in its purest form. As the prophesied famine of the Word approaches, the need for truthful translations becomes ever more critical. Believers are called to stand firm against efforts to censor or distort Scripture and to actively support initiatives that safeguard its integrity.

Preserving the Bible is not only about physical copies or digital access—it is about ensuring that its teachings remain uncorrupted and available to those who seek the truth. This requires a collective effort: supporting translation projects, distributing Bibles to poor and needy communities, and fostering a deep personal engagement with Scripture. It also involves confronting the cultural and ideological forces that seek to marginalize Elohim’s Word.

The time to act is now. The prophesied famine of the Word is not a distant event but a reality already beginning to unfold. Believers must recognize the importance of preserving Scripture in its purest form and rise to the challenge of sharing Elohim’s Word with a world increasingly hostile to its message.

The HalleluYah Scriptures, as a truthful and literal translation, stand as a powerful tool in this mission. Yet, like all efforts to uphold the truth of YHWH’s Word, it relies on the support and dedication of those who understand its value. In the face of opposition, the resilience of the truthful becomes a covenant to the enduring power of Scripture and the unwavering commitment to its preservation.

Throughout history, countless men and women have laid down their lives to protect the Bible and ensure its survival for future generations. As His people, we are called to take action:

With restrictions tightening in many regions, it is crucial to distribute as many copies of the HalleluYah Scriptures as possible. Underground networks and discreet smuggling efforts must be strengthened. Believers should prioritize storing physical copies of the Bible as the internet and computer systems will not work for those who will not take the digital ID system coming where you will not be able to buy and sell. This is why we have continued to share about story up hardcopies for the coming days when you will not be able to request His Word.

The community of believers must unite in prayer, advocacy, and action. Just as the early congregation supported one another under persecution, we must support efforts to keep His Word alive.

Let us reflect on this verse that a team member shared, it is for the time it was written and for a time we are in now.

“Rather, we commend ourselves as servants of Elohim in every way: in much endurance, in pressures, in hardships, in distresses, in stripes, in imprisonments, in disturbances, in toils, in watchings, in fastings, in cleanness, in knowledge, in patience, in kindness, in the Ruaḥ ha’Qodesh, in love unfeigned, in the Word of truth, in the power of Elohim, through the weapons of righteousness, on the right and on the left, through esteem and disrespect, through evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true; as unknown, and yet well-known; as dying, and see, we live; as disciplined, and yet not killed; as sad, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet enriching many; as having naught, and yet possessing all.”(Qorintiyim 2 / 2 Corinthians 6:4-10)
